Press releases and departmental memoranda issued by the public information office relating to such subjects as proposed or completed projects, finances, legislation, economic impact, construction costs, highway safety, and scenic routes. Pre-1978 files were received from the Legislative Reference Bureau; files for 1978- came from the department and some releases include background information sheets and memoranda. Memos for 1968-1971 and 1975 are missing and for 1976-1977 are incomplete. The processed portion of this series is summarized above, dates 1955-1995, and is described in the register. There are additional accessions dating 1993, 1996-1997 and 2000-2002 which are described below.
